Sophie and Chloe

Yesterday the Midwife came over for the last time.
Very sad :( We will miss her......

Chloe is 4 weeks old today and in that time she
has put on 600g. (Total 3660 g).
Head circumference she grown 3 cm (Total 36 cm).
In length she has grown 6 cm (Total 56 cm).

So everything is progressing very nicely!

Sleeping Chloe

Last night everyone slept really well.
Chloe went to bed at 9pm and did not
get up again until 5am. That was great nice sleep.

But Sunday afternoon, Daddy and Chloe are still tired!

Chloe went out in her push chair today.
We found out that she loves being in the push chair.

She cries heaps hopping into it, and as soon as
we get moving she looks so amazed, wondering whats
going on!!! :)

Today's Midwife Checkup

Chloe has put on 60g this week, and the midwife is very happy on how Chloe is doing.

Feeding is going great, sleeping for longer periods of time throughout the night, so Mum and Dad are getting a bit more sleep.

Chloe is also loving bath time, but getting out of the nice warm bath is a bit upsetting......

Another Midwife Checkup

Today we had another Midwife checkup.

Everything is going perfectly.

She has put on another 130 grams!

This last week everything has been just cruising along with changing, feeding and sleeping; changing, feeding and sleeping being the main theme.

Midwife checkup

Today our midwife came to checkup on Chloe's Progress.

Everything was going perfectly.

Chloe was weighed, and she now weighs 3180 grams! (7 lb) So she has put on 120 grams in a week. Well done Chloe :)

Her length is now 53 cm with a head circumference of 33cm.

So everything is progressing very nicely with no problems.

She is sleeping very well at night time now. for the last part of last night, she slept for 4 hours, which gave us a nice rest.

First Sunday

On Sunday Chloe got her heel prick test. She was very brave and didn't cry when her heel got pricked. Midwife was very happy with everything.

We all went to church, everyone was very happy to see her.

Sunday night was also her first night where she slept all by herself after each feeding. So that was very helpful to Mum and Dad to get some sleep themselves :)

The second day

The second day went very well with a number of visitors coming to have a look.

Babys First Day

Chloe Albertina van der Gaag arrived into the world on Wednesday the 2nd of May 2007 at 7:47 am.

She weighed 3060 grams (6lb 12oz).

On the right is Chloe's very first photo taken of her at around 30 seconds old.

The birth went very well with no problems.

Gloria unfortunately had trouble birthing the placenta, so she had to go to the hospital to get it removed manually. Therefore Chloe's first trip in the car was when she was 3 hours old.

The procedure at the hospital went very well, and we stayed a few hours afterward for Gloria to recover and then we went back to River Ridge.
